Its a score guys, its meant to be heard with the movie. I don't get it! Why are there many people angry at Daft Punk for this? The production is great. The orchestra is talented. Its a wonderful score.

End of Line is the best song on there.

Well look at Tencious D and the Pick of Destiny. It was both a movie sound track, and an album. I think people were expecting a bit more. If no one told me this was Daft Punk, I wouldn't have known.

Well look at Discovery. Its both a movie sound track, and an album. I think people were expecting a bit more because they did it pretty good that time.

They released a video for Derezzed. It feels like that song is way too short.

ORCHESTRA

I thinks its amazing that Daft Punk can make techno and direct an orchestra as well. If anything it tells us how wide the range of talent Daft Punk has is.

>> No.130

"The score features an 85-piece orchestra, recorded at AIR Lyndhurst Studios in London.[3] Kosinski referred to the score as being a mixture of orchestral and electronic elements.[2] Daft Punk's score was arranged and orchestrated by Joseph Trapanese."

>techno

go die

AND ALSO INTERSTELLA 5555 AND DISCOVERY WERE MADE IN CONJUNCTION

AND ALSO TRON LEGACY IS STRAIGHT UP TERRIBLE

AND ALSO THE SOUNDTRACK IS ALRIGHT, NOT GR8

People like you are the ones who need to die.

We haven't had one of these since the Daft Punk Soundtrack fiasco. So let me share something to get the ball rolling again.

This is the album Ring from Cameron Mesirow aka Glasser.

Its pretty funky. Reminds me of a rain forest. But also has some electronic music in there as well. Check it out.

Today's song of the day is a bit different. It's the entire discography of the Bloodhound Gang.
Now you may be asking Anonymous, how can you have every song one band make be song of the day? Well I can, because they have a formula for making songs.
Let's review it shall we?
Sexual puns + catchy beat + young teen boy sense of appeal = blood hound gang song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xat1GVnl8-k This is Bad Touch, probably one of their most famous songs. Lyrics like "You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals/So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel" appeal to the formula. It's seriously just a song of sexual innuendos.
According to wikipedia this is one of their other popular songs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adgx9wt63NY Fire Water Burn
Sample Lyric: Yeah I'm hung like planet Pluto hard to see with the naked eye,
But if I crashed into Uranus I would stick it where the sun don't shine,
More formula usage here.
This is Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo. FUCK. Clever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZpxaiNV_sM&feature=related
They've been around since 1992, and they manage to sound like every generic band on whatever year they release the album. I say that's impressive enough for a song of the day.

Vanity time! this is a song by my band, fractures (formerly The Fractured Lens), but i havent recorded my part yet.

>> No.102

I thought it was pretty good. Cept the main vocals. No offense to your vocalist but they sounded like shit.

Reminded me of The Pixies for some reason.

Special Affections by Diamond Rings

I love this album. Its instant pop. I imagine this as an album that if I were having a party, I would plug this thing and play, no objections from the crowd. If you want to revisit the late 80s and early 90s synth-pop age (in a good way (i know...a good way? impossible)) then this is for you.

Besides being sounding like it was recorded in a basement, there isn't much wrong with the album. The lyrics are a little dry sometimes, but the beats stick in your head like glue. Give it a try.
